Role Summary
As a Materials Engineering intern, you will support Rivian to go Carbon Neutral by 2040. Materials are at the center of every function, and every component of every vehicle. This intern will be a vital part to connect the dots and organize the project scope to achieve a common goal for the business in materials selection.
Support the materials selection, specification, and validation for vehicle systems.Responsibilities
Perform research and development tasks for various materials and material technologies, including sustainable materials.
Support materials-related problem identification and resolutions.
Data-analysis and methods development to analyze and present results
Creation of presentations to distribute information to larger business
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy or similar
FSAE experience preferred
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical qualifications may require testing in a lab environment
Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week required
Less than 10% travel may be required
