The systems HIL (Hardware in the loop)  team is looking for a firmware automation intern to assist with a variety of project for validation of software on the vehicle HIL.  The internship will consist of contributions to existing infrastructure as well as the opportunity to drive the coordination efforts of a high level, cross-domain vehicle feature testing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the functional verification of all HIL data acquisition I/O, communication and peripherals
  • Drive debugging and troubleshooting any incorrect behavior discovered during testing
  • Work with the software development team to track scope of releases and maintain accurate reporting and status throughout the CI/CD process
  • Improve robustness and scope of test systems

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Robotics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Working understanding of data acquisition, basic signals, and power distribution
  • Literacy in Python and software troubleshooting
  • Organized & able to present information in a clear concise manner. Making use of graphical representations whenever appropriate.
  • Self-starter, always looking for ways to improve the current process
