Implement and improve joining systems and joining processes through project lifecycles.
Partner with production team to ensure successful ramp and long-term production
Perform continues joining process optimization in current and future model production
Lead and assist production in all quality and process related weld topics and issues
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Material, Mechanical, Welding Engineering or similar technical field from an accredited college or university.
Understanding fundamentals of joinability of steel or aluminum
Knowledge of the process and equipment for self-pierce riveting, flow drill screw, clinching, spot welding, GMAW welding, projection welding, laser welding/brazing, friction stir welding, and hybrid join/bonding.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Experienced in working within 2D & 3D CAD environments.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
