Role Summary
As a Range & Efficiency intern, you will support the teams efforts to set/define targets & requirements, perform tests, perform simulations, track and provide status updates regarding the design of next generation vehicle systems.
Responsibilities
Main deliverable: Range dashboard completeness implementation for all programs
Run simulations for range prediction
Correlation of models to test data
Support component and vehicle testing if required
Support creation of plans and maintenance of propulsion simulation models
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus towards vehicle powertrain, geartrain or related systems.
Formula SAE, Baja, Eco-Car affiliation or similar experience preferred
Working knowledge of Matlab, Simulink preferred
Basic understanding of simulation tools to set up, solve, and debug simulations
Proven track record of independent root cause analysis and problem solving
Ability to work in a fast-paced program with a diverse team
