Role Summary
Reliability is at the core of Electric Adventure Vehicles. As a Reliability Engineering Intern, you will play a key role in assuring unparalleled reliability for Rivian Products, through early identification and mitigation of reliability issues in the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of product Design Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (DFMEA) for powertrain and chassis components and sub-systems.
- Cascade reliability risks from the design and DFMEA to process PFMEA and control plan.
- Support creation and execution of Product Design Validation Plans (DVPs).
- Root Cause Analysis support for test failures and document summary reports for cross-functional communication of test and teardown analysis results.
- Engage with Rivian Vendors to cascade reliability targets and execute tests to demonstrate reliability
Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

Understanding of Validation Test Plans, Design Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (DFMEA), and Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (PFMEA)

Experience with statistical software such as JMP, the ReliaSoft suite, or minitab

Prior knowledge in reliability engineering, quality engineering, or design engineering preferred.

Familiarity with the following systems:

Motors and Gearboxes (and/or) Chassis and Suspension

Understanding of root cause analysis techniques and demonstrated experience applying them.

Experience leading cross function problem solving activities.
