Role Summary

Infotainment Software Engineers are at the core of our feature development process, transforming high level descriptions into working software that delivers a beautiful and intuitive in-vehicle experience to Rivian drivers and passengers.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience working on firmware and embedded systems
  • 4+ years of experience developing with C/C++
  • Proficient in design, implementation, test, and documentation of firmware on MCU
  • Deep understanding of embedded real-time OS and bare metal embedded systems
  • Experience working with SPI, I2C, CAN, and UART
  • Experience designing and building SPI communication protocol between MCU and SoC
  • Experience with SoC powerup and sleep/wake power sequences, driven by MCU
  • Experience implement logging for MCU
  • Experience debugging firmware after deployment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing firmware for automobiles
  • Experience with FreeRTOS and SafeRTOS
  • Experience with functional safety ISO-26262 standard
  • Experience with A/B software update and OTA
  • Knowledge of secure boot on MCU
  • Worked hands-on with A2D
