Rise (http://www.riseinteractive.com), a rapidly growing full service media agency, is looking to hire a Director, Growth Solutions based in Chicago. We are seeking a detail-oriented, versatile, highly motivated and creative individual that is excited to work with an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.

Summary and Scope

The Director, Growth Solutions will be responsible for winning retained client relationships within Rise’s key vertical markets by developing innovative, data-driven media, measurement and customer experience strategies. This individual will be a master of understanding client needs/pain opportunities in terms of driving better business outcomes. They will be a key conduit between our business development, media strategy and client delivery teams, coordinating the development and presentation of the best possible solutions for each client.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve a quota in profitable business across all service lines (Media, Analytics, CX) and key markets (CPG, Consumer Services, B2B)
  • Listen to, identify and understand prospects' viewpoint and tailor communication to meet prospect needs and expectations
  • Manage team activity in Salesforce, monitoring and driving the right activity to achieve individual and team goals
  • Communicate ongoing contact/sales activities through Salesforce reporting
  • Ensure realistic and timely pipeline estimates based on data entered into Salesforce
  • Continuously train the sales team to improve in key behaviors and skills through weekly one-on-one meetings as well as observation of and/or participation in sales meetings
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Innovation teams to share market data and request the needed assets for success
  • Display a thorough understanding of assigned target industries and Company's competitive advantages
  • Manage hiring needs as warranted
  • Stay current on changes and best practices with the integrated media landscape
  • Develop and cultivate new Accounts for the team from methods including networking, trade resources, LinkedIn, Marketing leads, etc.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 7-10+ years agency sales experience
  • A successful track record of selling media services and strategy to enterprise brands at a large integrated media agency or holdco
  • Experience with selling integrated media and data solutions, inclusive of digital media, traditional media, brand strategy and performance strategy with extensive knowledge around audience and analytics solutions 
  • Extensive experience and success with RFP processes
  • A strong understanding of the media and martech ecosystem
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing sales teams using the equivalent of Salesforce technology and Sandler or equivalent philosophy is required
  • Proven track record of sales success (meet individual/team quarterly and annual sales goals with employee retention) in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Exceptional research, analysis, presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • A successful track record of selling enterprise solutions to executive stakeholders with being the lead voice in a room of multiple strategists
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce, and the Microsoft Suite
  • Able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity
  • Strong relationship management skills and industry contacts that can be leveraged
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive maximum performance
  • Strategic thinker with proven consulting skills with a strong eye for detail
  • Self-motivated and results-driven team player who consistently strives to exceed goals and push revenue expectations
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new situations and remain flexible
  • Ability and willingness to travel is required
