As a Delivery Director at Rise8, you will:

  • Anticipate Delivery Needs by collaborating with stakeholders across Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, Design, and Product Management to adjust strategies and ensure the alignment of delivery efforts with market demands and evolving client expectations.
  • Identify Gaps Across Practices by initiating constructive dialogues with leadership across teams, developing strategies to improve the delivery lifecycle, and optimizing cross-functional team collaboration for better results.
  • Maintain Delivery Portfolio Awareness by overseeing progress across multiple delivery areas, providing high-level guidance to ensure comprehensive oversight and alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct Productive Team and Practice Meetings by encouraging participation and fostering idea exchange. Lead strategy sessions, ensuring all teams are aligned on goals and priorities for successful execution.
  • Monitor Delivery Progress and Performance by adapting strategies based on feedback and ongoing performance reviews. Implement practices that ensure sustainable, efficient delivery across all practices, using feedback loops and team health checks to optimize processes.
  • Amplify Delivery Visibility by creating content and showcasing delivery successes, insights, and thought leadership across platforms like LinkedIn and industry forums, raising Rise8’s profile as a leader in delivery excellence.
  • Oversee Delivery and Development Practices across all disciplines (Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, Design, and Product Management) by applying strong problem-solving and strategic leadership to ensure effective implementation and delivery of client solutions.
  • Collaborate Across Cross-Functional Teams to ensure that all delivery teams (engineering, design, product, etc.) are aligned and working toward the same goals, driving continuous alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Define and Manage Resource Allocation by assessing staffing needs, collaborating with internal teams to ensure appropriate resource allocation, and forecasting staffing changes to maintain optimal delivery capacity.
  • Foster Continuous Learning and Feedback by leading internal initiatives like round tables, AMAs, and retrospectives that encourage team development and feedback. Drive coaching and personal development to ensure the growth of individuals and teams.
  • Motivate and Provide Growth Opportunities for team members, supporting skill development, career advancement, and fostering a culture that emphasizes high performance and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in delivery management, overseeing large-scale projects and cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience leading and managing teams across Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, Design, and Product Management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Strong background in agile methodologies and a deep understanding of project lifecycle management.
  • Experience in cross-functional team collaboration, fostering effective communication between product, engineering, design, and other teams.
  • Proven success in leading teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time, managing risks, and meeting client expectations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide clear direction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges across multiple teams and adjust strategies when needed.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, with a focus on driving results and ensuring efficient project execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a senior delivery or leadership role within a consultancy or services-based organization.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams across Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, Design, and Product Management.
  • Familiarity with industry-leading tools, platforms, and technologies.
  • Strong presentation and client management skills, with experience interacting at the executive level.

 

Salary 

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $191,00 - $287,500 regardless of final candidate location within the United States. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity. 

Benefits 

  • Flexible schedule in a 100% distributed workforce 
  • Premium Insurance: We cover up to 100% of the employee premium and up to 80% of the combined dependent premium on our base health plan, depending on pay band. We also cover 100% of the premium for employee and dependent Dental and Vision as well as employee premiums for Life and Disability coverage.
  • Retirement: 401k match at 10% gross pay.
  • Paid time off (PTO): 4 weeks combined accrued vacation and sick leave, 10 Federal holidays, your birthday, jury duty, and bereavement.
  • Education & Training: Accrued budget of up to $3,500 per year for classes, travel, events, and materials.
  • Home Office and Merch: We offer $750 per year for home office technology and equipment as well as $100 per year for Rise8 merch from our Swag Store.
  • Wellness Budget: To encourage and support a well-rounded healthy lifestyle, we cover 100% reimbursement on a variety of wellness activities and products, up to $500 per calendar year. 
  • Rise8 is part of the Life Time Corporate Partner program. In lieu of your $500 annual wellness benefit, you can instead get a $75 monthly credit towards a Life Time membership ($900 annual benefit).
  • Equipment: We offer a MacBook Pro

All of Rise8’s work in this area is with Federal Government customers that require our employees involved with their projects be U.S. citizens. As such, this role requires U.S. citizenship. If hired, you would also be required to go through a background investigation.
