Description:

Are you a hard-working and dedicated engineer and an inquisitive problem solver? If so, then Tektronix might be the place for you! We are seeking a six-month Co-Op to join our Continued Engineering Support (CES) team. As part of the team, this Co-Op will be empowered to preform various engineering tasks related to testing, design, and performance validation. We strive to give co-ops the opportunity to collaborate with engineers within CES to maintain software, hardware & coordinated test measurement systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other specialists to maintain and improve test plan definitions and executions.
  • Opportunity to grow skills within technical specification testing and validation for electrical test instruments and systems.
  • Contribute to the research of new components and incorporate it into existing PCB boards to address issues that arise.
  • Opportunity to develop a greater understanding of customer issues and collaborate with the CES team to bring solutions.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will be a fast learner, hard-working, and self-motivated with a curiosity about Electrical Engineering. Other highly valued skills include:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Have the ability to work for 6 months from July - December 2024
  • Experience developing analog hardware circuit designs and/or digital hardware design.
  • Electronic component knowledge (Op-Amps, Voltage references, Capacitors, FETs, and other discrete components.
  • Component evaluation and selection is desired.
  • Experience with test and measurement equipment as well as proven understanding in engineering concepts are required.
  • Solid understanding of computer programming languages such as C/C++, Visual Basic, Java and Perl; as well as experience in the Windows/Unix/Linux Operating Systems is helpful.
