What You'll Do

  • Assist in projects / initiatives to improve existing HR processes and systems
  • Gain exposure to major HR processes and strategies by rotating through the various HR Centers of Excellence
  • Attend business unit and corporate HR team meetings to gain exposure to the broader field of Human Resources
  • Support the business strategy through managing and updating HR data, as well as project management work
  • Support the HR team with ongoing employee questions
  • Perform additional duties as needed
  • Complete the onboarding and hiring of new employees into CMC's HR database (Employee Central)
  • Maintain open communication with hiring managers throughout the onboarding process

What You'll Need

  • Relevant coursework and/or projects preferred
  • Previous internship experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to prioritize requests effectively and understand importance and meet deadlines
  • Must be willing to adapt to shifting requirements or priorities
  • Strong quality and results orientation with a proactive approach
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
  • Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • High sense of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and work effectively among a diverse group of people
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates a passion for customers and world class customer service
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bilingual Spanish required

Your Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Currently pursuing a degree in a related field at an accredited university
