The role reports to MGR, Applications Marketing & Sales L2 and is located in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. As an Intern in the ABB IS (Information Systems​) organization, you will be introduced to a high paced, international environment, solving complex problems, participate in building our IS solution capability and growing together with the rapidly developing business.

Your responsibilities

  • Demonstrate business acumen and/or willingness to learn Web solutions, web based or windows based applications within product management or product configurator domain and within a sales and manufacturing environment
  • Works with Business Engagement Managers to understand business requirements
  • Scopes configurator, sales and marketing related portion of a project to determine the actual processes and methods to be applied based on ABB principles and proven industry best practices
  • Conducts generative research to identify end user needs
  • Ensures designed solutions are in line with the ABB configurator, marketing and sales initiatives for the Americas region
  • Creates functional requirements documents and business process flow charts in marketing and sales domain to collaborate on and formalize requirements and design with prototyping techniques including RAD (rapid application development) and JAD (joint application development)
  • Provides guidance to Solution Architects and Developers in implementing the designed solutions
  • Provides guidance on processes procedures to conduct internal acceptance testing and to support end user acceptance testing
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for changes to common design for marketing and sales organizations
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in the configurator, marketing and sales processes needs for sales organizations
  • Works with regional configurator, marketing and sales organizations to understand the technology needs to improve productivity and efficiency of processes and applications
  • Prepare charts, diagrams, specifications and conduct related analyses. Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve complex problems and develop and implement measures to prevent recurrence. Conduct analyses and prepare related reports and recommendations

Your background

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in the United States
  • Pursuing Bachelor’s in Business Administration with focus on Information/Computer Science, Data Analytics or Information Security
  • Must have good work ethic, can do attitude and ability to learn
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good Interpersonal skills
