Department Overview

The Closing Support Department manages all signed loan document related tasks and completes verbal verifications of employment and obtains updated loss payee clause for Hazard insurance. Individuals working in this position needs to work with a sense of urgency as once the loan has been approved these tasks must be completed before the loan can fund.

 

Position Overview

The Intern - Fulfillment Specialist is a clerical position and manages functions associated with processing mortgage loans. These functions require verbal communications with third parties such as employers and insurance agents. Also included but not limited to, working pipeline reports, and completing assigned tasks in preparing the loans for funder to fund

the loan.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work on the VOE and EOI tracking reports to complete assigned tasks.
  • Reconcile original signed notes to shipping reports and prepare shipping reports for original signed deeds of trust to be sent to title companies for recording.
  • Complete projects as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle competing priorities effectively and within established timeframes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • Experience working with a Windows-based computer environment, working knowledge of
  • Microsoft Office

Eligibility and Requirements

Only individuals possessing outstanding character, a high degree of motivation, and the willingness to learn will be selected. 

To be considered, students must meet the following qualifications:

  • Candidate should be taking upper division courses (junior or senior year)
  • Candidate should express interest in working in a related field that supports financial services, after graduation
  •  Candidate should be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Candidate must be returning to their campus following the program
  • Have a reliable means of transportation to and from the workplace
  • Have excellent customer services/client focus, teamwork, and collaboration
  • Ability to write and communicate effectively and have solid attention to details
  • Experience in administrative/office support and phone skills
  • Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Offices including Word, Excel (pivot tables, charts); PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
  • Experience in research, analysis and statistical data are a plus

 

What to Expect

The individual that secures this position will have a good working knowledge of how a mortgage loan is secured, and loan documents are executed and the security interest in the property is achieved.
