We are looking for a Manufacturing Eng Intern to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Engineering and Operations teams in setting up new manufacturing processes and facilities in a hands-on role
  • Develop Value Stream Maps of prospective manufacturing processes for use in process optimization
  • Lead the development and daily update of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure performance of manufacturing processes
  • Launch process to review quality problems with cross functional groups, implement and track solid corrective actions to reduce failures
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all manufacturing protocols meet the highest level of performance, reliability, and safety
  • Devise novel ways to improve manufacturing processes, product flow, reduce waste using Lean Manufacturing techniques and culture
  • High-energy, high-initiative self-starter who is hands-on, willing to learn and work with little direction

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Enrolled in a 4-year Engineering degree program
  • Ability to use data to identify potential risks to targets
  • Ability to use data to make and validate decisions on changes to processes and labor
  • Ability to work off-site at times to assist projects outside of standard manufacturing facilities
  • Ability to connect and communicate with all levels of employees, prioritizing respect for people
  • Demonstrated record of teamwork, motivating, and coaching employees to excel
