Role Overview

As a Sales Professional at Rimes, you will be responsible for driving sales and business development efforts for Rimes Managed Data Services. You will engage with key clients and prospects, develop and execute a regional sales strategy, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure the delivery of solutions that meet client needs. This role requires a strong background in consultative selling, deep understanding of the financial markets, and experience managing client relationships, particularly within the buy-side. Your ability to build and maintain C-suite relationships, meet sales quotas, and forecast accurately will be critical to your success in this role.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead sales and business development for Rimes Managed Data Services, focusing on the buy-side and asset servicing markets.
  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy targeting both new and existing clients.
  • Cultivate and leverage C-suite relationships to generate sales opportunities and foster consultative engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Rimes Product Team to align the company’s product strategy with client needs and market trends.
  • Identify, target, and develop new client relationships while expanding existing ones within your assigned territory.
  • Manage and close deals, including negotiating contracts to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes for both Rimes and the client.
  • Understand client needs in relation to front-to-back operational models and system architecture, ensuring effective and targeted sales.
  • Carry and achieve sales quota targets, with responsibility for accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple sales opportunities, utilizing expertise in the buy-side and asset management sectors.
  • Develop and present compelling value propositions to senior stakeholders, clearly articulating Rimes' solutions and competitive advantages.
  • Stay proactive in understanding market trends and the competitive landscape to drive sales and opportunities.
  • Accurately forecast sales performance and maintain alignment with internal sales targets.
  • Use Salesforce (CRM) to manage pipeline, track opportunities, and report on sales performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing relationship management.

 

Who You Are:

  • Proven track record in sales and business development, specifically within the buy-side and asset management markets.
  • Extensive experience in consultative selling of data management technology solutions or services.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, market data, analytics, and asset management technology platforms.
  • Proven track record in managing and closing sales deals, with a strong ability to negotiate contracts that deliver mutually beneficial outcomes for both the company and the client.
  • Expertise in managing and expanding relationships with the buy-side, particularly in C-suite engagements.
  • Excellent understanding of the sales process for market data and analytical software solutions.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with the ability to maintain high activity levels across a broad target market.
  • Tenacious with a strong commitment to closing business and exceeding sales targets.
  • Rigorous in pipeline management, with a focus on forecast accuracy.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts to senior decision-makers.
  • Skilled at mapping decision-making units and driving sales within these structures.
  • Strong technical understanding of financial products and technology platforms, with the ability to leverage partner capabilities for business growth.
  • Excellent consultative selling style with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and solutions.
  • Proficient in using Salesforce (CRM) to track sales opportunities, manage accounts, and forecast effectively.
