The Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting for a Tax Analyst to report directly to the Global Head of Tax. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential. This position is a 6-month maternity cover.
What you will do:
- Work closely with outside tax advisors to prepare and review direct and indirect tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
- Coordinate with internal departments for data required to file tax returns, analyze and prepare transfer pricing information, and complete audit procedures.
- Prepare tax provisions including the calculation of current and deferred tax liabilities, effective tax rates, and uncertain tax positions
- Analyzing the financial statements to prepare the relevant tax footnotes
- Compute current and deferred tax accounting entries for standalone and consolidation as well as roll forward, tax balance sheet reconciliations.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure potential tax issues are addressed proactively
- Maintain an accurate database of tax records, and manage electronic bookkeeping software
Who you are:
- A professional qualification in accounting (i.e ACA, ACCA)
- IFRS knowledge is mandatory
- Knowledge of US GAAP and/or UK GAAP (preferred but not mandatory)
- 2-3 years of experience in tax accounting and/or tax consulting
- Strong data analysis, prioritization and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
