RightHand Robotics (RHR) is building a world-class team to solve the biggest problem in ecommerce logistics: how to fulfill orders, despite demand that’s growing at six times the rate of available labor. Our cutting-edge robotic picking systems manipulate hundreds of thousands of items -- it’s a software-driven, hardware-enabled technology that meets the increasing demands of e-commerce order fulfillment and other industries.
We’re looking for a CAD Drafter to work with our Hardware team to create the documentation that will be used to build the components and assemblies that make up our robots. This individual will work closely with our mechanical and electrical engineers to transform concepts into reality.
Develop detailed production drawings for mechanical parts and assemblies using Solidworks:
Determine scaling and page layout
Insert necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning
Insert detail views and dimensions
Create and insert exploded views
Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations
Set up BOM tables and number callouts
Maintain revision history
Produce & submit engineering change orders (ECOs) for review
Check drawings and other documentation for completeness, correctness, and adherence to drawing standards
Working with engineers, produce solid models from sketches and concepts
You Are (or You Have):
Proficiency with Solidworks, with 5+ years of drafting or mechanical design experience
Experience using document control and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
Mechanical Engineering Associate Degree
Experience with electrical drawings and schematics - TurboCAD or AutoCAD are a plus
The opportunity to make an immediate and visible impact in an early stage company with lots of potential.
Passionate and fun teammates.
Flexible vacation and work schedule.
Generous premium coverage for medical and dental plans.
