At Rhythm, our Strategists collaborate across a team of multidisciplinary strategists, interaction and visual designers, and engineers to deliver successful products and ongoing marketing programs. Our Strategists provide strategic direction for a variety of marketing communication initiatives, including responsive website design and development, mobile/tablet applications, social media, email marketing, paid media campaigns and other forms of digital content. Our Strategists have impeccable communication skills, with the ability to clearly liaise across strategy, design and technology teams as well as client stakeholders.

The Data & Analytics Strategist will work alongside the Sr. Data & Analytics Strategist as the subject matter experts within the Google Suite of data tools and represents the data and analytics thinking and point of view on our brand engagements. The Data & Analytics Strategist helps define the data-driven, multi-source analytics approach to develop audience and behavioral insights that will power strategic recommendations and solutions that answer our client’s challenges and needs. They develop marketing measurement strategies to define success metrics and tracking requirements, and they think through how data can be used to personalize experiences and further our brands marketing and business goals.
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Be part of the data team that leads Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics knowledge, evangelism & education, helping others become hands-on experts
  • Dive into data to support development of end-to-end strategic solutions for clients by bringing a hybrid lens of analytical thinking and creative strategy to develop audience insights, inform product design, influence media campaign strategy, and define the measurement/testing approach and reporting framework
  • Be the shepherd of using data platforms to inform action and experiences
  • Work in concert with the Sr. Data & Analytics Strategist to grow data and analytics offering of new and existing clients
  • Clearly articulate and present insights and strategies rooted in data, contributing to the overall growth of client relationships and breadth of work  

ESSENTIALS

  • 4+ years experience in an analytics role at a digital agency, major brand, publisher, financial, retail/e-commerce, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines and identify appropriate data sources and analyses to build an approach that will result in actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Ability to tackle, clean, analyze, and visualize data sets from a variety of sources including marketing performance and conversions, organic search behaviors, CRMs, site behavior and pathing, e-comm, and company financial data
  • Confidently articulate and present insights and recommendations to creative and technical teams alike to inform strategy
  • A problem solver, able to really listen and understand clients’ business questions, translate the business requirements into a learning agenda, identify the best and innovative approaches with data, and get creative with our analytics approach when necessary

Experience working in the following areas is desired:

  • Developing data-driven personas or audience segmentation to inform product or campaign strategy
  • Informing user journeys with audience and channel insights
  • Analyzing paid media and search performance to identify growth opportunities and topical opportunities for content

Experience working with the following data/tools to develop insights is desired:

  • A/B or multivariate testing, e.g., Optimizely, Google Optimize
  • Audience segmentation and research, e.g, MRI, GWI, comScore, Simmons
  • Organic social and search performance, e.g., Facebook, Search Console
