As part of the Rhino team, you’ll join an accomplished group that is building the foundation of a company revolutionizing the renting process. We are looking for a mission-driven self-starter to leverage their insurance knowledge to help shape our core product and develop new products.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive our insurance product strategy and optimize our product’s value for our key stakeholders: renter customers, landlord partners, and carrier partners
  • Collaborate with various teams including sales, partner success, renter support, marketing and strategy & operations to gain a strong understanding of the market/competitive dynamics and the needs of our stakeholders 
  • Develop novel product features and new product, leveraging your understanding of operational and technical constraints to execute from ideation to launch
  • Work with our compliance and filings teams as well as external consultants to draft coverage forms and support the regulatory filing and approval process
  • Partner with actuaries and underwriters to develop innovative pricing models and establish our risk appetite and underwriting guidelines 
  • Work with our product and engineering teams to bring your product vision to life, ensuring precise and accurate execution as well as a fast and simple user experience

We’re ideally seeking:

  • 7+ years of total professional experience in the P&C industry with experience in product development, actuarial and/or underwriting. Previous experience in surety/credit lines is a plus
  • Holds (or is working towards) a CPCU designation
  • Passion for innovation in the insurance industry and enthusiasm for thinking outside the box – you find creative solutions to insurance problems and are not afraid to improve upon the status quo
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and cross-functional project management skills, particularly working with colleagues without traditional insurance backgrounds
  • Detail-oriented and highly analytical - you prefer to make decisions based on data
  • Organized and able to efficiently prioritize, multi-task, and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Commitment to customer service and offering a strong value proposition to customers
  • Strong technical insurance knowledge - pricing, coverage, structure, risk profile
  • Working knowledge of insurance regulations and DOI requirements across multiple states
  • Prior experience working with software engineers to deliver tech-enabled insurance products
  • Technical fluency to understand the key flows, nuances, and constraints of our technology stack
  • High-growth start-up experience is preferred
