LEED Certification Manager
The LEED Manager will work very closely with the DCM (Development & Construction) team and will be responsible for guiding project certification from inception to completion. In this role, you will:
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects pursuing LEED certification (primarily repositioning projects)
- Perform energy modeling, Title 24 performance modeling and code required commissioning
- Processing of relevant USGBC fees (registration, certification etc)
- Manage the registration of the project with Green Business Certification
- Participate in design reviews and act as a primary contact with the design, development & construction team for the LEED scope of work during construction. Manage the basis of design as it pertains to LEED Certification
- Oversee entire LEED certification documentation process during construction and review project documentation/submittals to determine compliance with LEED requirements
- Assist construction teams with sustainable design strategies and technologies for buildings and sites
- Perform administrative duties for specific LEED rating systems and programs, as necessary
- Effectively communicate LEED certification program requirements and progress to project teams
- Ensure design and construction strategies are implemented and documented according to the relevant LEED criteria (certified, Silver, Gold etc) set by the US Green Building Council
- Collect and review all LEED construction credit documentation and ensure that construction team members complete and submit all required forms and supporting documentation through online portal
- Partner with the ESG team to implement measures to collect sustainability data and calculate the impact of LEED designs on relevant projects
What we’re looking for:
- Familiar with LEED Volume program
- Familiar with LEED v4 certifications on both redevelopment (ground up) and repositioning projects
- Preferred experience in the industrial real estate sector
- Preferred experience in Southern California
- Accredited Degree from a 4-year college or university in a related area of study preferred.
- Experience with current LEED rating systems
- LEED Project Experience concurrently managing multiple projects at various stages
- Requires familiarity with the design and construction processes for industrial building.
- Passion for sustainability and sustainable buildings;
- LEED accreditation
- Experience performing modeling for LEED certification and Title
Compensation
Rexford Industrial's total reward plan includes a premier benefits package, bonus eligibility, and long-term stock incentives. The expected annual base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000, with a 20% discretionary annual bonus target and stock grant eligibility.*The actual base salary and total compensation offered depend on a variety of factors, which include, without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location where the job will be performed. The final base salary and total compensation will be described in any offer letter.

*These stock grants are subject to approval by the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, are currently subject to vesting over a four-year period, with 25% of the grant vesting per year, and require continued employment on the grant date and each applicable vesting date.
