Job Overview

The Manager, Sales Development is a self-motivated and transformational leader who can develop and support an evolving team while ensuring sales development goals are met. The Manager, Sales Development will take a hands-on approach to managing a team that is responsible for call-center based sales development and lead qualification for both warm and cold leads. This leader is the expert on the team’s processes, responsibilities, KPI’s, and internal relationships. The Manager, Sales Development is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the team, including productivity levels, sales success, performance management, quality monitoring, resource allocation, training, reporting, and other management duties.

This is a hybrid base position with 2-3 days a week in our state of the art Chicago office. 

What you’ll bring to the table: (Responsibilities) 

  • Drive SDR performance and success to KPI’s including daily touchpoints, meetings scheduled, and win/loss ratios.
  • Develop and implement new sales tools and approaches that help the team in identifying, contacting, and creating new opportunities.
  • Discover training needs and curate new hire, continuous learning, and cross-training programs.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and mentorship to direct reports.
  • Proactively recognize, manage, and address performance gaps.
  • Monitor campaign success and manage strategy around lead prioritization.
  • Collaborate with various leaders and departments, including but not limited to: Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support Center to maintain strong internal relationships and improve processes.
  • Champion organizational and procedural changes as business objectives evolve.
  • Participate in leadership training and ongoing development.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Do you have the right mix of ingredients: (Requirements)

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
  • 3+ years in a sales development role
  • 3+ years in a management role
  • Experience in financial services a plus
  • Extensive experience developing and leading high-performing teams
  • Proven track record exceeding sales production goals and driving strong sales performance in others in a call-center environment
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a positive and engaging department culture
  • Background in creating and maintaining sales tools, resources, and talk tracks
