Field Service Technician - Charging Operations

 

Job Description:

Revel’s Charging Operations group is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. The position is based out of Revel’s Brooklyn, NY office. This role will contribute to achieving market-leading charger uptime by conducting onsite repairs and maintenance of EV charging stations and related electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience maintaining EV service equipment, must be able to work independently, and will be required to work in the field under various conditions.

Qualifications

  • Experience servicing electric vehicle DC fast chargers or electrical power equipment in the commercial or utility energy field and/or formal electrical training.
  • Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Technical knowledge of electric vehicle chargers and current OEM certifications is preferred.
  • Experience using work order systems to generate, track, and complete repairs.
  • Experience using inventory management systems to receive and track consumption of spare parts.
  • Ability to analyze, resolve, and appropriately escalate problems independently.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect charging sites and equipment for cleanliness, damage, and functionality
  • Conduct unscheduled and preventive maintenance according to manufacturer procedures
  • Review operating manuals and site drawings to ensure proper service and maintenance of electrical equipment
  • Coordinate with EVSE manufacturers to escalate and troubleshoot repairs as needed
  • Support campaigns to update Revel charging products and facilities
  • Assist with facility maintenance and basic IT support
  • Assist with charger commissioning and internal testing
  • Coordinate with external contractors as needed

 

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation range for this role is $35-40 per hour, based on experience level.
