About the Role:

We are looking for a talented, experienced Sr. Manager Paid Search - SEM, who can impress with actions, not with industry buzzwords, to join our experienced Paid Search team. As Sr. Manager Paid Search - SEM, you will plan and develop paid search strategies that will lead to customer acquisition and sales growth, managing large annual budgets (eight figures). This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated, determined, and data-driven marketer to make an impact on a fast-paced, growing start-up. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is data-driven, able to think “outside the box”, and bring new ideas to the table to help us upscale our already successful campaigns. 

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Execute and own day-to-day campaign building, optimization, and maintenance for multiple Google Ads accounts - ideation, keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, testing, reporting, etc. 
  • Manage and implement campaigns across Paid Search, Shopping, Discovery Ads, and Gmail Ads as well as all Bing products.
  • Manage Merchant Center product feeds & optimize data within them to strategically grow Shopping Campaigns
  • Own all testing methodologies within search and shopping, including but not limited to bidding, audiences, ad copy, and landing pages.
  • Manage large monthly budgets and proactively drive campaigns to sales and revenue targets, while not foregoing basics like Quality Score and ad copy testing and hit performance targets.
  • Build out reporting to highlight performance and identify key trends.
  • Drive short-term and long-term search strategies and share findings with stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with the current Paid Search managers, creative, marketing, analytics, and product teams to scale, test, and grow revenue, inclusive of managing landing pages in self-service platforms like Unbounce when applicable.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • BA in a business field, such as marketing, communications, or a related field – a must
  • 4+ years of experience actively managing AdWords and Bing paid search and shopping campaigns in B2C E-commerce from prospecting to RLSA audiences - a must.
  • Experience in Google/Bing merchant center and manual feed development & management modern approach towards account structure - familiar with automated bid strategies, a consolidated account structure, DDA attribution model, portfolio bid strategies, etc. 
  • Deep understanding of the Google ads ecosystem - algorithm, bid strategies/techniques, measurement, and Google Analytics 360 - a must. 
  • Analytically minded with the ability to optimize campaigns based on data generated and solve complex problems. 
  • Experience launching new accounts - including building, tracking, scaling, and optimizing.
  • Experience in attribution, tracking, testing, and campaign reporting. 
  • Understanding Google Campaign Manager - a plus
  • Experience with Looker - a plus.
  • Measurable success in running performance-based paid search campaigns.
  • Ability to self-motivate, work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Desire to continually learn and stay on top of current marketing trends (specifically SEM), able to share knowledge with your team in a positive manner.
