About the role

Reserv is building the industry-leading third party administrator capability in the insurance industry. To do this, Reserv seeks a candidate to join the Security team as a Cybersecurity Analyst. The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for executing tactical daily efforts, participating in broader planning efforts, and in some cases leading strategic elements of programs. The Cybersecurity Analyst will be multi-disciplinary, possessing a strong cybersecurity risk management background with adjoining technical-capable skills. The ideal candidate will bring the ability to work within an EDR tool, review logs as part of threat hunting exercises, conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, update policy and draft procedures, as well as interact capably with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we need

The responsibilities of the job will include, but are not strictly limited to:

 

  • Managing the EDR capability of the organization including deployment of endpoint, resolution of Tier 1 and Tier 2 alerts, and reporting
  • Reviewing and conducting threat investigations using the SIEM to proactively identify threats to the organization
  • Completing and assisting with cybersecurity risk assessments of various enterprise and product-level applications, systems, and business processes
  • Owning the cybersecurity vendor risk management process
  • Maintaining and actively managing key aspects of a GRC program, including the tooling and regular review processes
  • Assisting with and drafting policies, procedures, and documentation to support the security program
  • Developing dashboards and providing reporting to assist with critical decision making processes
  • Regularly testing and monitoring security controls for effectiveness
  • Assisting with vulnerability management, including review of the environment for vulnerabilities present, assessing the severity of the vulnerability in the environment, and working with IT and development teams to resolve the issue
  • Researching and remaining up-to-date on key cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities
  • Communicating and evangelizing security throughout the organization

 

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience directly working in a cybersecurity role
  • Working understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience performing risk assessments and drafting/maintaining cybersecurity policies and procedures
  • Technologically capable to work within cybersecurity tools including, but not limited to performing SIEM queries, managing EDR up to shell access, and analyzing threat indicators
  • Demonstrated capability to learn and grow
  • Sec+ or other industry-standard security certifications are desired but not required
