We are currently seeking a Senior Data Science Tech Lead to develop innovative ML/AI and NLP models and grow our data-centric products and offerings.

This role will work in close cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Client Services, and will provide a Data Science technical leadership.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Sr. Data Scientist who is a technical leader and has a deep understanding of end-to-end machine learning modelling to join our Global Data Science team. The role is a blend of hands-on data science ML/AI development as well as technical leadership and mentoring for a team of data scientists with a range of experience. The ideal candidate has an eye for innovation, ML/AI engineering capabilities, deep understanding of NLP and deep learning, and ability to translate business needs to data science models.

Role Responsibilities 

  • Be an enthusiastic hands-on data scientist with outstanding Python, machine learning and NLP skills and experience
  • Have outstanding communication skills that enable you to lead and mentor team members, collaborate cross-functionally, communicate with internal stakeholders, and present the team’s work to the company and to leadership
  • Understand data and data processes, including data cleaning, processing, modeling, drawing conclusions, and telling the story of the data in a compelling way
  • Be a self-sufficient subject matter expert in leading our ML pipelines, deep learning, and NLP
  • Work in an agile methodology, ensuring often releases and continuous improvement
  • Mentor and guide team members through hurdles and remove blockers
  • Be a proactive learner that keeps up to date with the newest Data Science techniques and leading technology innovations
  • Understand and lead the full Data Science model development lifecycle from ideation, through feasibility study, POC model development, prototyping, and creating a route to productization in cross-functional collaboration
  • Lead model selection processes, including defining acceptance criteria for model productization
  • Show curiosity in understanding client needs and what brings the most value to our stakeholders. Be able to translate this understanding to data models
  • Collaborate with our Product, UX, and Engineering teams on productization of ML models
  • Be a proactive contributor to our Data Science roadmap 
  • Promote and maintain an unbeatable culture in our team


  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science or similar. MSc or PhD is a plus
  • 3+ years’ working experience in a Data Science or ML Engineering role
  • Strong technology background in developing Machine Learning models in Python, and good familiarity with the Python Data Science packages
  • Experience in productizing ML models and good familiarity with AWS, SageMaker, Airflow, Kedro, GitHub, Agile, SQL, and similar relevant tools
  • Familiarity with a variety of opensource packages such as Transformers, GPT-3, and other
  • Good mentoring and inter-personal skills
  • Proficiency in a fast-paced and high-growth company mentality
