About the Role
The Data Security team will be the first line of defense against malicious actors in the IT industry. The role will help to screen the company’s critical IT infrastructure for weaknesses and create robust countermeasures to prevent future incidents. Security Engineers also train employees on security best practices and advice management on investments to safeguard the company’s computer and network systems. 

About You
You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field and are in your 3rd or 4th year. You are excited to work with a team of smart and enthusiastic people to solve hard problems and have a strong sense of curiosity and want to expand your skillset.

About Your Skills

  • Track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.
  • Help develop and maintain any related policies, guidelines or processes that relate to data governance and compliance.
  • Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.
  • Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
  • Help to update company’s information security strategy.
  • Educate and train staff on information system security best practices

Required Skills:

  • You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field and are in your 3rd or 4th year

  •  Knowledge of operating system and database security

  • Knowledge of networking technologies, network security and network monitoring solutions

  • Knowledge of security systems including anti-virus applications, content filtering, firewalls, authentication systems and intrusion detection and notification systems
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems
  • Loves working in a team and willing to learn
