About the Role:

As the Senior Director, Organizational Development you will lead the most critical work at RTR that will impact our global workforce of salaried employees and hourly associates. The immediate priority will be enhancing the end to end employee experience through a variety of methods, including designing and delivering learning experiences, ensuring our culture of feedback is embraced by all, and orchestrating manager - direct report interactions that result in substantial growth and development on a day to day basis. This role will also take on additional projects that will evolve as the needs of the business shift and you will help identify the most pressing needs. Other example projects include the semi annual review process and employer branding. This role will report to the Chief People Officer and requires a creative, analytical and thoughtful thinker who enjoys working with people and data and knows what it takes to succeed in a high-growth, high-demand cutting edge company. As the leader for this function, you will initially lead a team of 2 - 3 people and you will be empowered to build a team over time.  

What You’ll Do: 

  • Work on the most critical people related projects for RTR, which includes helping to shape the most pressing initiatives and how they evolve over time. Example projects include new manager learning experiences and employer branding. You will lead the projects in partnership with your direct team and key cross functional stakeholders across the organization.  
  • Develop and implement strategies related to talent management, including employee training and development, retention, recognition, and internal people related communication. 
  • Own semi-annual review process and collaborate with People Team stakeholders to effectively link performance to compensation increases. 
  • Develop and activate organization wide communication campaigns to support the implementation of new ideas and priorities that ignite excitement and support. 
  • Partner with the CPO to design, articulate and implement the overall People strategy for the RTR and tailor, as appropriate, for various employee populations and departments. 
  • Work to build external relationships that will allow RTR to better deliver on our agreed upon People strategy. 
  • Prepare and manage budgets associated with Employee Engagement and Learning & Development. 
  • Invest in ensuring RTR’s Senior Leadership team understands and adopts  our People strategy and is effectively equipped to cascade information and reinforce key messaging. 
  • Facilitate semi-weekly metrics meetings where people and business KPIs are discussed and used to drive decisions regarding subsequent training cohorts, employee engagement initiatives, etc.  

About You:

  • Preferred but not required: Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or equivalent  
  • 8+ years of professional experience in all aspects of human resources management and staff development 
  • Experience designing and leading learning experiences for various groups of employees. developing People strategy, redesigning organizational structures, and leading complex projects that require significant coordination from various groups. 
  • Proven track record in supporting employee engagement and experience as well as communication strategies and plans, preferred 
  • Exceptional problem solving, project management, execution, and change management skills 
  • Strong and effective communication skills; ability to communicate in ways that inform, persuade, and engage target audiences
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise content accessible to employees at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and credibility quickly and consult with key partners to translate business priorities; collaborative individual that can meet high performance expectations 
  • Able to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, balancing long-term projects with more urgent, immediate demands
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic and organizational skills
  • Highest integrity and professional standards; able to deal with confidential information with discretion
  • Superior PowerPoint/presentation skills i.e., having worked with PowerPoint in a professional capacity to produce presentations to senior management
