About the Team:
Data is core to our growing business and has been ingrained in the company's DNA since its founding. The Data Science team is the engine that powers our data-driven culture. We extract meaning from RTR’s many, rich customer interactions and partner with decision makers across the company to turn insights into actions. Our team of well-rounded data scientists manages data models, defines and analyzes performance metrics, builds reporting, runs A/B experiments, and develops statistical models.
About the Job:
We are looking for a Director, Consumer Data Science. In this role you will be a key partner to the growth product team, working closely with product managers, product marketing, revenue, design, and engineering. You will conduct deep analyses and build predictive models to generate hypotheses and insights, and design and run A/B experiments to validate those hypotheses.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with cross functional team to identify the most impactful opportunities for product development
- Build predictive models and perform analyses on large datasets to uncover opportunities, guide business decision making, and establish leading indicators for our growth metrics
- Design and run A/B experiments to optimize the prospective customer journey
- Own impact measurement of growth initiatives and product launches
- Ensure the team has visibility and access to the data they need to make decisions and form hypotheses
- You have a strong quantitative and/or technical academic background, such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Physics (masters is a plus)
- You have 5+ years experience in an analytics and/or data science role (experience with growth analytics is a plus)
- You have a passion for data and its ability to inform, and transform, business strategy
- You have a proven track record of high performance and substantial achievement in an autonomous and cross-functional role
- You have experience designing and running A/B experiments (experience supporting an experimentation platform vendor selection process is a plus)
- You have experience building models (classification, regression, clustering) in Python/R
