About our Team:

Our engineering team works on technically challenging problems across the boundaries of e-commerce, mobile, analytics and shipping/fulfillment. The backbone of our business is our custom logistics management system, which gives us the crucial ability to deliver the right product to the right user at the right time - a simple goal with a complex solution. We use data, engineering and algorithms to create a personalized website and an adaptive supply chain to fulfill our commitment to an amazing customer experience.

About the Job:

As a Full Stack Engineer on the Product Security team, you will work with a passionate group of engineers focused on the mission of ensuring the security and compliance of our consumer facing systems. You will help implement features to protect customers accounts, secure mobile and API access, maintain compliance (PCI, CCPA, etc), and reduce fraud. In addition, Additionally, you will help revamp our internal APIs, restructure the architecture of our microservices, and finetune service calls for optimal performance.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze, design and implement software solutions for customer facing systems with a goal of securing access, mitigating security and privacy vulnerabilities, reducing fraud risk, and preventing potential future risks
  • Improve our underlying microservice architecture to optimize load times and improve developer efficiency 
  • Continuously contribute to privacy, security, and legal initiatives to address security and privacy concerns, mitigate risk, and encourage a culture of security.
  • Assist in the planning and execution in migrating our services to the cloud
  • Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment
  • Collaborate with engineers and other teams to define project features and brainstorm ideas 
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to identify software solutions to business challenges
  • Write clean, testable, and efficient code
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and lead by example 

 About You:

  • 5 + years of professional full stack development experience and a high level of comfort with Javascript/React/Redux/Java/Linux/MySQL/MongoDB/SQL. 
  • Past experience building performant web applications at scale
  • An obsession with optimizing applications for speed and performance
  • Experience with distributed system performance analysis and optimisation
  • A passion for bringing great products into our world through collaboration and ingenuity
  • Knowledge of various types of data stores, and their pros-and-cons
  • Ability to understand, diagnose, and effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
  • Ability to handle ambiguous problems and make the tradeoffs without compromising quality
  • Experience in modern frameworks and design patterns (MVC, REST, React, Redux)
  • Ability to understand, diagnose, and effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
