At RentPath (now a Redfin company), the Sr. Compensation Operations & Analytics Analyst is responsible for driving sales compensation operational excellence, providing insights & analytics, administration of key sales compensation data, and sales compensation programs for the organization that addresses our sales compensation governance, performance management and leading RentPath through compensation reviews.
A Day in the life
The Sr. Compensation Operations & Analytics Analyst will report into the Sr. Manager, Sales Compensation Effectiveness and work closely with the HR, Finance, and Sales Operations teams. The role will provide analytical support focused on understanding sales compensation program performance insight, and revenue performance dynamics. The role will further support projects that are focused on developing and refining the sales compensation strategy of the sales organization. The Sr. Compensation Operations & Analytics Analyst will be expected to consistently deliver in the following areas:
You will ensure all sales compensation reports and calculations are up to date, correct and all deadlines are met (including for incentives, promotions, spiff’s, etc.)
The Manager, Sales Compensation Execution is provided with information that is consistently accurate and delivered on time and kept abreast of any changes/issues as they arise.
The Sr. Compensation Analyst is a subject matter expert regarding end to end management of Xactly; all calculations, validations, and testing
Cadence exists around commissions and processes are put together so SPIFFs get out on time Commission cadence, put together a process so that this SPIFF gets out on time and is completely understood for further possible questions
Compensation plan is designed for all roles, components are measured, and provided to the Sr. Manager, Sales Compensation Effectiveness; every calculation is in line with final document and all data should match what is in Xactly.
What we need from you
Demonstrated experience (2+ years) creating calculations and analyzing sales compensation in sales compensation tool. Xactly preferred.
Clear communication and excellent customer service skills to explain potential commission enquiries to sales representatives in a clear and concise manner.
Experience completing manual calculations for sales commissions
Demonstrated success presenting and communicating to business stakeholders
Proficient experience in Excel and Salesforce.com. Both skills required.
