Rentpath (a Redfin Company) is looking for an Associate Information Security Engineer who will be responsible for providing effective and efficient technical support for all aspects of the RentPath Information Security program.
A Day in the Life….
The Associate Information Security Engineer will report into the Head of Cloud and Infrastructure Security and will be an integral part of RentPath’s Information Security team which is ultimately responsible for all aspects of Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application security for RentPath (a Redfin Company).
What we need from you...
Continuous Improvement - Our existing framework is understood and the AISE is continuously looking for new technology and processes to implement and improve our framework to ensure we are keeping up with trends and successful outcomes.
Security Breaches - The AISE has a strong understanding of security breaches and when/how to assist. S/he will participate in response and recovery efforts during a security breach, a timeline of events is recorded through detailed notes and what is happening during the breach is tracked thoroughly.
Security threats - Security threats are identified, minimized, and handed off to the appropriate team by monitoring and triaging alerts from SIEM, data encryption, endpoint protection and other security products. Custom dashboards and reports are created through InfoSec tools to streamline security threat alerting (internal use).
Integrity – The Associate Information Security Engineer has a strong moral compass and depends upon this principle to guide his/her actions and recommendations.
Reputation- The Associate Information Security Engineer holds a reputation with internal teams for being a knowledgeable resource in information security If s/he does not readily know how to provide guidance to the customer, s/he will be able to research and build that knowledge. The AISE is also known for being an excellent collaborator with internal teams and has an ability to convey what is needed to a variety of audiences.
User Access Gatekeeper- User access reviews are conducted regularly to ensure on-premise systems and 3rd party SaaS services include only valid users to reduce any excess licensure costs. Conduct user access reviews to on-premise systems and 3rd party SaaS service (who is responsible, who decides who is an admin list is correct. *User access reviews * to reduce cost, right size access (paying for license)
Familiarity within a Helpdesk, IT and/or Information Security setting (preferably 6 mos - could be intern-level); be able to speak the language and understand the technical skills
Demonstrated experience showing an intellectual curiosity to ask questions, recommend solutions, and be motivated to learn how things work and how to break/rebuild things
Preferably experience working with InfoSec (but not a requirement)
Experience working within a Corporate environment and a demonstrated success being able to collaborate with multiple audiences within an internal team.
