We are seeking a highly motivated research associate with skills in molecular biology and automation to join our RNA science team. The role is instrumental to move forward multiple programs developing novel RNA medicines for oncology, autoimmune and genetic diseases. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-throughput plasmid assembly, scale up and characterization. Candidates with previous experience in molecular cloning and plasmid preparation are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities:
Execute molecular cloning and plasmid scale up to support multiple R&D programs at ReNAgade
Report to the plasmid production team lead and coordinate activities to deliver high-quality plasmid to the RNA production team within critical timeline
Learn and manage scalable workflows by implementing automation to enhance the efficiency and throughput of plasmid production
Record electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) entry and organize inventory
Qualifications:
BS/MS degree in molecular biology or a related field, with 1+ year of additional experience
Hands-on experience with various molecular cloning techniques such as Gibson, Golden Gate assembly, and USER® cloning. Proficiency in common molecular biology skills including PCR, gel electrophoresis, nucleic acid purification, and plasmid purification
Proficiency in using electronic laboratory notebook (ELN)
