We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with expertise in molecular biology, and a passion for automation to join our RNA science team. The role is instrumental to move forward multiple programs developing novel RNA medicines for oncology, autoimmune and genetic diseases. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing cloning strategy, high-throughput plasmid assembly and scale up, utilizing various liquid handlers. Candidates with previous experience in developing quality control (QC) assays for nucleic acid products are highly encouraged to apply. The title and responsibility will be commensurate with prior experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment dedicated to generating potent RNA therapeutic modalities.
Responsibilities:
Lead plasmid production efforts to support multiple R&D programs at ReNAgade
Work closely with the sequence design team and RNA production team as part of a cross- functional unit to ensure the delivery of high-quality payloads within critical timeline
Develop scalable and reproducible workflows by implementing automation to enhance the efficiency and throughput of plasmid production
Maintain and organize an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) registry and inventory
Collaborate and contribute to nucleic acid QC assay development and troubleshooting
Qualifications:
PhD with 0-3 years of applicable experience in molecular biology, or BS/MS degree with 3-10 years of experience in a related field.
Expertise in cloning strategies, including hands-on experience with various molecular cloning techniques such as Gibson, Golden Gate assembly, and USER® cloning. Proficiency in sequence analysis and current molecular biology skills
Enthusiasm for automation and previous experience with liquid handlers
Proficiency in using electronic laboratory notebook (ELN)
Good organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and presentation skills and efficient data processing
Industry experience is a plus
Knowledge of nucleic acid biology and the innate immune system is a plus
