Role Overview

Relyance AI is looking for an energetic and motivated public relations professional to join our rocketship startup in the exciting tech industry! The ideal candidate has in-house and/or agency experience working with high-growth B2B SaaS technology brands. This person is passionate about cutting edge technology that solves real-world problems and has an extensive media and reporter network. We're looking for a self-starter who is eager to contribute to our growing team and ready to lead our communications efforts by providing actionable strategies that generate results.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic communications and media plans, including media opportunities, editorial calendar, timelines, message development, pitch, and announcement strategies. 
  • Write and develop media materials including news/press releases, public statements, press kits, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, and case studies, while identifying and developing storylines that advance business objectives.
  • Successfully pitch and place compelling news stories, bylines, profiles, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with influential publications, media contacts, and reporters to ensure placements, and seek out new opportunities and relationships.
  • Sustain company narrative through research and analysis of current industry and market trends.
  • Provide regular reporting on quantitative and qualitative metrics while evaluating campaign results against objectives and ensuring quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to develop content that supports outbound marketing and communications efforts, such as infographics, blogs, social media, and videos, while maintaining high editorial standards.

You are a great fit if you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or other related field.
  • Have a minimum of 3+ years of experience at a PR agency, preferably in corporate, legal, and/or tech communications. 
  • Are a superb communicator with excellent written and verbal skills and an outstanding ability to communicate messages clearly and concisely. 
  • Have experience with conveying both substantive and technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences with the ability to tailor messages accordingly.
  • Enjoy building and establishing lasting relationships with media, journalists, and customers.
  • Are a team player ready to roll up your sleeves and adapt to the changing needs of a rapidly growing company.
