Relay, a Raleigh- based product company, is hiring for an experienced Marketing Operations Manager. In this role, you’ll play a vital role in the execution of marketing and sales initiatives for fueling growth. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented and analytically minded, and who possesses strong project management and organizational skills. Here at Relay, we're looking to change the way we communicate. We've designed, built, and launched an entirely new product category -- a simple, rugged, internet-enabled smart-device and all the software that runs it -- that is disrupting the handheld radio industry for B2B enterprise clients and non-desk workers (hospitality, healthcare, education, golf, parks, sports, and more!)

This isn't your run-of-the-mill VoIP app; we've achieved proven product-market fit with a user experience that solves real-world customer pain and unlocks new capabilities for them through our robust API Platform

Relay has experienced exponential growth over the past several years, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment is a must.

We work in a hybrid model with flexibility and are based in Raleigh, NC.

What will you be doing as our Marketing Operations Manager?

  • Establish and maintain scalable automated processes in our systems that ensure best practices in lead management, including lead scoring, routing logic, and efficient handovers to Sales.
  • Serve as point-person for the Marketing Automation platform including system selection, integration, and build-out to best serve business needs as we scale our database and further diversify marketing programming across segmented prospect nurture campaigns, Events, Webinars, ABM-oriented campaigns, outbound targeting campaigns, and partnership-based marketing programs.
  • Manage and maintain data quality within the marketing database and the CRM, including campaign tracking consistency, lead enrichment, audience builds, and targeting segmentation.
  • Drive operational efficiencies and performance optimizations (deliverability, engagement rates) within Email platform.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in campaign execution.
  • Identify, design, and execute new processes that enable marketers to be more effective in their day to day work, including executional excellence, overall efficiency, and measurement.
  • Project Management: Handle departmental communication workflows including SOP training + feedback, sales alignment, and innovation opportunities.

What would we like you to bring to the table for this role?

  • You have strong analytical skills and love working with data. Deep familiarity with Business Intelligence data tools, Excel, and Google Analytics required. SQL familiarity is a plus.
  • You have proven experience managing Marketing Operations processes, including lead management, database management, segmentation, field mapping, and data enrichment.
  • Experience building and managing campaign timelines, cross-department projects, and tech implementation. Highly organized with ability to clearly communicate and drive performance to deadlines and deliverables.
  • You're able and excited to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment and you understand the importance of great communication (both written and verbal), especially in today's hybrid office/remote culture.

We have a culture where we empower our Relayers to do the best work in their lives. We call this idea BWIML (best work in my life).

  • It's truly amazing what happy, engaged team members can achieve. Our ever evolving list of benefits means you'll be able to achieve work/life balance, stay healthy, perform impactful work, grow in your role, look after yourself/your family, and invest in your future.
  • At Relay, we offer...
  • 100% Paid Insurance Health, Dental, Vision, Long/Short Term Disability and Life Insurance benefits
  • Generous Paid Time Off
  • 401(K) Savings Plan + Company Match
  • Baby Cash Reward + Paid Parental Leave
  • Annual credit towards items that promote productivity and/or wellness. This includes smartphones, fitness trackers, gym memberships, workout equipment and more.
  • The latest tech, standing desks, and all the accessories and software you need to succeed in your role.
