The Shipping and Receiving/Packaging Specialist performs a wide variety of receiving, shipping, and warehouse activities for a fast-growing start-up company developing radiation therapy medical devices.
Responsible for inventory receiving, lot number assignment and component storage.
Compare quantity and part number of items received with procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.
Responsible for shipping components, R&D material and final medical equipment to suppliers, customers and clinical sites.
Perform kitting of components required to build higher level assemblies in production.
Organize warehouse and maintain accurate inventory through material control practices and verify through routine cycle counting process.
Perform material movement and inventory adjustment transactions in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system (QAD).
Follow all clean-up and housekeeping practices. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma, GED, or equivalency required
5+ years receiving and shipping experience working in a technical, compliance-oriented and regulated environment such as ISO 13485.
Experience with MRP systems. QAD preferred.
Very organized, high level of attention to detail.
Has succeeded at developing and maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
Able to lift up to 25 lbs of weight.
Able to use forklift and pallet jack.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proven ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner; strong problem-solving skills
