The PET Scientist Intern at RefleXion will have responsibility to assist in the calibration development and testing, corrections, reconstruction and workflow. The position requires a strong background in structured programming with experience in developing and debugging MATLAB, Python and C/C++ languages. It is desirable to have a background in medical imaging, calibrations, corrections, reconstructions and image processing. The individual will also have an opportunity to perform subsystem experiments and verification tests. The position provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in a Radiation Therapy system.
Masters or PhD in CS / EE / Physics or related field
Desired experience in PET or another imaging modality with understanding of calibrations, corrections, reconstructions including image processing and workflow
Proficiency in structured code development with programming experience in MATLAB, Python and C/C++
Experience in code performance optimization including computer hardware and parallel computing a plus
Experience in Medical Imaging or Radiation Therapy a plus
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and organizations
Ability to build and maintain relationships across supported organizations
Excellent communication (written, oral), presentation and documentation skills
Dedication and determination to get through challenging problems
A passion for finding robust and reliable solutions to challenging problems
