Roles and Responsibilities
Role:
● Lead buying for a key brand within Myntra’s Private Labels & Licenses portfolio
● A comprehensive role that involves all aspects of the business – Analytics, Financial planning,
Range planning, Brand Strategy, OTB management
Responsibilities:
● Responsible to optimize sales
o Revenue
o Margins
o Category growth
● Range Planning
o Season learnings
o Assortment and Option planning
o Product-Brand-Category mapping
o Pricing architecture for each category
o Effectively planning and forecasting in order to maximize profitability
o Trend forecasts and implement sale plans
o Financial analysis - Sales, Margin, Discount and Inventory related analysis
o OTB working along with the central planning team
● Inventory Management
o Planning for the inventory flow for entire category
o Coordinating with Sourcing team for timely inwards
● Vendor Management
o Vendor-Product Mapping
o Building fabric base, printing base network and vendor base
● Cross-functional engagement
o Speak with multiple cross-functional teams including Planning, Sales, Finance,
Sourcing, Marketing, etc to ensure smooth execution for brand growth
● Team Management
Qualifications & Experience
● 6-9 years of experience in Fashion Buying and Merchandising
● Familiarity with category management for Apparel will be preferred
● Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
● Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
● Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analysing and interpreting data
