Roles and Responsibilities
Role:
● Lead buying for key brands within Myntra’s Private Labels & Licenses portfolio
● A comprehensive role which involves all aspects of business – Analytics, Financial planning,
Range planning, Brand Strategy, Marketplace Vendor Management, OTB management
Responsibilities:
● Responsible to optimize sales for products
- Revenue
- Margins
- Category growth
● Range Planning
- Season learnings
- Product-Brand-Category mapping
- Pricing architecture for each category
- Effectively planning and forecasting in order to maximize profitability
- Trend forecasts and implement sale plans
- Financial analysis - Sales, Margin, Discount and Inventory related analysis
● Option planning
- OTB working along with the central planning team
● Inventory Management
- Planning for the inventory flow for entire category
- Coordinating with Sourcing team for timely inwards
● Team Management
- Leading a team of 1-2 buyers
● Marketplace operations
- Coordinating with MP vendors to ensure the category gaps are appropriately fulfilled,
the collection is live on time, pricing is as per demand
● Cross-functional engagement
- Speak with multiple cross-functional teams including Planning, Sales, Finance,
Sourcing, Marketing, etc to ensure smooth execution for brand growth
Qualifications & Experience
● 6-9 years of experience in Fashion Buying and Merchandising
● Familiarity with category management for Apparel will be preferred
● Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
● Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
● Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analysing and interpreting data
