Essential Duties:
Seeking operator/programmer for sheet and plate profiling using fiber laser, high-definition plasma and 5-axis waterjet. Main job duties will include operating cutting machines, loading raw sheets, unloading and deburring cut parts as well as supporting programming as needed.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Set up and operate machines according to project needs
- Produce high-quality cut products in a safe and efficient manner
- Adjust machine settings to improve quality and efficiency of the production process
- Loading materials into machine in accordance with project material specifications
- Unload, debur, inspect, label and palletize cut parts as outlined by work orders
- Inspect machines to ensure they are in good working condition
- Diagnosing and troubleshoot technical issues that arise with machinery
- Assist in maintenance of machines when needed
- Assist in machine programming as required and desired
- Clean and maintain work areas, including laser machinery and equipment
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior laser, waterjet, plasma experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- High school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and shop floor environments.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
Working Conditions:
- Shop working environment, frequent time spent outdoors handling raw materials, and staging finished products for shipment
- Exposures encountered, loud noise, and hot/cold.
- Standing while operating machines for long periods of time
- Shift is Mon-Fri 4/10s shift
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
