Spares Technician
The Spares Technician role plays a key role in supporting the maintenance and engineering teams by ensuring timely availability and proper management of spare parts for 24/7 production lines. You will assist in locating, issuing, and tracking spare parts, ensuring that production downtime is minimized and operations run smoothly. The work will directly contribute to the efficiency of maintenance activities and the uninterrupted operation of production equipment
Responsibilities will include:
- Receiving spares parts into spares inventory, confirming part matches what was purchased
- Utilize ERP, CMMS, and/or Inventory Management software to track, analyze, and manage inventory effectively.
- Locate and issue parts to maintenance technicians and engineers
- Perform daily inventory audits as directed by the supervisor and correct any errors identified
- Work may be required on holidays depending on shift schedule
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in ERP, CMMS, and/or Inventory Management computer software.
- Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
- A Passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate and train on equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized machinery
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (more than 80% of shift)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions:
- Dusty Environment
- Varied work environments, indoors or outdoors in all seasons.
- Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, or typing.
- May require the ability to work weekends, nights, or on-call shifts as part of the regular work schedule.
- Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes, for extended periods of time.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
