About Redwood Materials

Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

We are seeking a Pricing Analyst to join the Commercial Team at Redwood. You’ll be responsible for pricing related to our incoming feedstock for battery recycling. You’ll maintain accurate and up-to-date views of the market as well as our internal cost structure to maintain and expand upon our pricing models.

In addition to pricing, we’ll expect you to play a role in reporting market intelligence (supply-demand trends, industry news) as well as tracking internal performance on the sourcing and sales related to Redwood battery materials and intermediates.

We’ll look to you to develop an opinion, be both persuasive and an active listener, and lean into discussion. We speak in data only. You should be skilled at manipulating data with tools including Excel, SQL, enterprise and customer relationship management systems, market data sources, etc. and enjoy telling stories with data to stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and job functions.

  • Completing supplier RFQs to acquire battery material feedstock for Redwood recycling operations.
  • Monitoring market intelligence reports for supply/demand & commodity price trends; assessing opportunities for new feedstock sources & revenue streams.
  • Mapping out & tracking partnerships within the electric vehicle supply chain. You’ll gain an understanding of the current and forecasted market size, supply & demand balance for key battery components and metals, and identify gaps / opportunities for Redwood’s products and services.
  • Maintaining existing critical business reports/dashboards, handle ad-hoc data requests, and track KPIs including bid win/loss rates, internal deal economics based on acquisition/sale prices, and market supply/demand dynamics.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Business Administration/ Finance, or similar
  • 3+ years’ experience in business/data analytics, business/product management, consulting, or corporate strategy; global commercial experience is a plus

  • Our business is “dynamic,” meaning our market and we can change quickly. You’ll need to be comfortable in a startup environment. Think independent, motivated, self-starter.
  • Strong analytical skills are needed. You should be able to interpret data/analysis and intuitively identify/troubleshoot gaps in quantitative analysis. Distilling data into actionable recommendations is key.
  • You won’t have the entire organization reporting to you, but you’ll need to be able to influence them to accomplish your goals. An ability to foster and maintain relationships both internally and externally is essential.
  • Smart, scrappy, entrepreneurial, science-loving, CO2-hating, having a bias for action and a lot of grit
  • An ability to have fun while tackling hard problems
  • A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
