Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

Associate Manager, Spare Parts Inventory

As the Associate Manager of Spare Parts Inventory, you will lead the management of spare parts inventory, drive process development, and support maintenance and engineering functions. This role requires a combination of inventory expertise, leadership capabilities, and the aptitude to establish new inventory locations efficiently.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise spare parts inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement efficient inventory management processes and procedures.
  • Partner closely with maintenance and engineering teams to establish and maintain a Critical Spare Parts list, ensuring uninterrupted production.
  • Utilize ERP, CMMS, and/or Inventory Management software to track, analyze, and manage inventory effectively.
  • Lead the team in drafting technical documents and developing tools to enhance inventory management processes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in material flow and warehousing principles to efficiently establish new inventory locations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to procure spare parts, negotiate pricing, and manage delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and report the consumption of capital spares, offering insights into usage patterns and recommending adjustments to inventory levels as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with specialization in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations management preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong skills in process development, including technical document writing and tool creation for effective inventory management.
  • Proficiency in ERP, CMMS, and/or Inventory Management software.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining Critical Spare Parts lists.
  • Leadership abilities with a knack for mentoring and developing team members.
  • Understanding of material flow and warehousing principles.
  • A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
