Training Lead, Production
As a Training Specialist for Copper Foil Production at Redwood Materials, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency of our training programs and fostering the growth of our production team. Collaborating closely with both production and training teams, you'll be instrumental in identifying, addressing, and closing training gaps to optimize operational performance and safety standards. Your hands-on approach and technical expertise will be highly valued as you work alongside supervisors and leads to enhance the training capabilities of our team, empowering them to excel in safety protocols and production procedures.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Build strong relationships with employees, enhancing their success through engagement and mentorship.
- Provide comprehensive training to new hires, covering safety, policies, procedures, and business unit-specific topics.
- Manage Incident Reporting (IR) and Management of Change (MOC) records for the Business Unit, and facilitate stand-up meetings to review findings and implement process changes.
- Develop basic and advanced technical content for Business Unit training
- Lead 5S, training around 5s, and efficiency and cleanliness improvement initiatives
- Develop individualized training plans to address skill gaps and optimize staffing levels
- Serve as a subject matter expert in chemical manufacturing, providing guidance and expertise.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and strategic initiatives.
- Work with Management of Change (MOC) owners to meet training-related requirements.
- Promote a positive work culture emphasizing safety and compliance
- Manage training audit programs and communicate results to leadership.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate training support for a 24/7 workforce is required.
- Actively gathering feedback to assess the effectiveness of training initiatives.
Desired Qualifications:
- H.S diploma or equivalent required; AAS Degree or higher preferred.
- Prior experience in chemical/mining/refinery facilities, with leadership or training roles preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated adaptability to varied situations and changing environments
- Proficient in technical writing, documentation, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfortable delivering training to groups.
- Previous leadership or training role preferred, emphasizing people development and adaptable learning strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication across departments and shifts.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures.

We have two openings available, each with the following shifts
8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday or 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday to Friday
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
