The Opportunity (*Location for this position is flexible, and will be working primarily in Eastern Standard Time zone working hours. )

We are growing fast and need the best talent to help us achieve our goals. We are currently looking for a passionate individual interested in a paid internship as a Product Marketing Manager. This role will provide exciting opportunities to join an experienced product team determined to drive customer and business value.  This role will provide opportunities to drive product leadership in our industry through supporting us with a greater understanding of how our market is evolving and in helping us to manage our key activities across our product distribution channel. Key channel activities include how we create awareness, how clients can evaluate our offerings, how they purchase, how we deliver our offering and how we provide after sales support.

The right candidate will have strong communication, analytical and organizational skills and provide quality documentation and synthesis of key insights and information that can be consumed by redIQ team members and stakeholders.

  • Support redIQ product team with key market insights allowing us to act strategically within the context of key issues that are driving and transforming the market from a customer and offer perspective. This would include but not be limited to:
    • Identifying major segments and describing their attractiveness
    • Outlining the needs and demands of different segments and how well they are being served
    • Describing the competitive landscape for incumbent and insurgent players that compete with redIQ
    • Identifying substitute products and services and how to differentiate against them
    • Identifying all value chain actors and how to leverage various players on behalf of our clients
    • Identify key trends, be they technology, regulatory, etc.
  • Mature all aspects of redIQ’s distribution channel. This would include, but not be limited to:
    • Working closely with redIQ marketing to assure that awareness is being created in the most optimal way and that value is conveyed in a way that drives business goals
    • Gather requirements necessary to support new models for distribution and monetization – freemium, self-service sales and support, etc.
    • Work with various teams to assure that how-to guides are relevant an up to date.
    • Work with the redIQ support team to gather necessary data and to assure that optimal controls are enforced, and that clients’ needs are adequately addressed
    • Work with marketing, sales and business development to optimize lead gen and sales activities
    • Other duties as assigned. 


What someone needs to be successful in this role

  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Data collection and synthesis of that data into consumable reports
  • Exceptionally strong market research skills including the ability to segment and quantify customer segments by various characteristics
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships necessary to support key business outcomes
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Previous marketing experience a plus
  • MS Office
