Red Badger is looking for a passionate and data-driven Head of Content to join our Marketing team. Reporting into the Marketing Director, you'll help define and create engaging, relevant content to drive brand awareness and engagement with our target audience. 

Responsibilities  

Content planning and production 

  • Define a content roadmap based on strategic business priorities and brand positioning, including content formats and channels 
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to define key themes and topics 
  • Lead content production from the concept to delivery, with accountability for the quality and effectiveness, including the co-creation and editing of long-form, short-form, video and other types of content 
  • Act as a guardian for the brand and tone of voice 

Content and channel management 

  • Plan and manage the content distribution effectively across our website, blog, newsletter and social media channels 
  • Ensure content is crafted to optimise engagement specific to the channel 
  • Ongoing optimisation of the content and channels 
  • Define what success looks like 
  • Measure and drive results against key metrics

Skills & Experience 

  • Experience in multi-media content planning, production and management 
  • Deep understanding of digital transformation, key trends and players 
  • Excellent editorial skills, background in tech journalism ideally
  • Specific experience of B2B business and technology, and the themes and drivers of how companies use digital to drive consumer value 
  • Specific experience in environments (rather than technical or software products), ideally Agile custom software development 
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the target audience
  • Deep understanding of the tone of voice and the ability to edit content with consistency and an eye for detail
  • Interviewing and engagement with technical and Digital Product experts, able to identify valuable themes and stories and create compelling content from them
  • Good research and analytical skills
  • Excellent teamwork, team management, communication and interpersonal skills
