Identity & Access Management (IAM) project Consultant (6-month contract) - On site or Remote

The Impact You’ll Make
You will execute IAM projects that support Recursion’s IAM strategy. Your focus will be on implementing IAM workflows to meet evolving business needs. These projects include improving Identity & Access Management systems and workflows across cloud/on-premise infrastructure and corporate applications to accelerate key business outcomes. You will also be responsible for managing federation across IAM solutions and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to improve identity lifecycle workflows.
In this role, you will:
- Merge and federate Recursion’s multiple Okta instances
- Improve onboarding, offboarding and other identity lifecycle workflows.
- Automate on-demand provisioning workflows for access requests (service now)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve RBAC/ABAC
- Drives assigned activities in project scope status updates and in-scope documentation development.
- Mentors and provides knowledge transfer to Recursion team

This position can be based at our headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT. Remote work is also an option.
The Team You’ll Join
You will work with the Information Security team at Recursion, focused on enabling Recursion to decode biology by providing world class secure technology services that are designed and fit for purpose. You'll collaborate with your teammates and across departments to ensure that IAM systems support the organization's broader business objectives while maintaining the highest standards of security.
The Experience You’ll Need
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Identity & Access Management and other information security related domains.
- Deep understanding of security principles and proven track record of successfully leading large-scale IAM projects within cloud-first and hybrid environments.
- Expert level experience working with IAM products Okta, AWS, Azure AD
- Expert level experience automating identity workflows
- Expert level experience in Adaptive Authentication, OAuth, OpenID, SAML etc.
- Expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python) as they relate to IAM products.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of driving security initiatives and influencing change across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Act as a Business Systems Analyst and articulate and elicit requirements and use-cases in a manner that is technology agnostic
