The Impact You’ll Make

We are seeking an experienced project biostatistician to join our team on a contract basis (20 hours per week, 6 month contract). As the Project Biostatistician, you will be responsible for providing statistical expertise in the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trials and research studies.

  • Assist in the statistical aspects of clinical trial design, protocol development, and statistical analysis plans under the guidance of senior biostatisticians.
  • Contribute to the development and validation of statistical analysis methods.
  • Oversee the CRO activities to ensure high-quality biostatistics-related deliverables.
  • Contribute to Biometrics (biostatistics and programming) project management (i.e. biostats timelines, planned biostatistics milestones)
  • Perform statistical analysis of clinical trial data and assist in interpreting findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medical director, data management, clinical scientists and clinical operations.
  • Develop and validate statistical analysis methods from CRO to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.

The Team You’ll Join 

Reporting to the Senior Director, Biostatistics, you’ll be focused on enabling Recursion to support multiple clinical trials programs, by providing hands-on statistical support and working with external vendors. You will collaborate with your teammates within Biometrics and across the clinical development department. The Biometrics Team is an innovation-driven and execution-minded group of drug development professionals responsible for supporting Recursion's innovative science through novel trial design, data collection, integration, and analysis, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

The Experience You’ll Need

  • Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Over 4 years of experience working as a biostatistician in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry.
  • Knowledge of CDISC standards and experience with SDTM and ADaM datasets.
  • Previous experience leading statistical programming activities.
  • Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SAS, R, or Stata.
  • Strong attention to detail and very good project-level biostatistical work.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven expertise in statistical methodologies relevant to clinical trials, including
  • design, analysis, and interpretation.
