The Role

You will drive the automation of our growth strategy, building a critical part of our pipeline as Recurrency revolutionizes an archaic industry towards the modern ERP. In this role, you will span engineering and go-to-market, developing into the key technical advisor to the sales and marketing teams. You will automate sales processes and marketing campaigns, building out a machine for growth and the dashboards to track our progress. This will be a creative and very self-guided role where you have significant input on our automation strategy.

As a Growth Engineer at Recurrency, you will develop expert knowledge and proficiency in our offerings and be a subject matter expert in one of the most important technologies in our industry today. You will be a key technical advisor to the Recurrency growth team and help change the way distributors do business.

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with our sales and marketing teams to automate our growth pipeline.
  • Use automation tools and scripts to simplify internal handoffs and processes.
  • Build dashboards for tracking internal metrics, conversion funnels, and OKRs.
  • Manage externally-facing marketing websites, content, campaigns, and domains.
  • Initiate and manage multiple proofs of concepts, working directly with go-to-market teams to run growth experiments.
  • Work with your sales and marketing counterparts to devise and execute a winning growth strategy that minimizes human delays and bottlenecks.
  • As relevant, distill and communicate sales and marketing needs and product feedback to Solutions, Engineering, and Product teams.
  • Learn about and share the incredible capabilities and value that Recurrency delivers to our supply-chain customers.

About You

  • An enthusiastic, creative, technical generalist
  • A background in software, computer science or a related field
  • Experience automating processes and connecting a range of services through APIs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical experience in a professional environment, ideally a startup
  • Previous experience in a growth or go-to-market role is a plus
  • Passion for learning new technologies and a desire to tackle hard technical problems
  • Persistence and ability to juggle many experiments simultaneously
  • A passion for problem-solving and devising inventive growth strategies

First 30 days: 

  • You will have met the entire team and understand our growth strategy
  • You will feel comfortable explaining and presenting within our application, having built an understanding of our users and what they do and care about on a daily basis
  • You will have dug in and learned each of the tools we use in the growth progress

Days 30-60: 

  • You will have written code connecting tools in our pipeline
  • You will have begun synthesizing information from these tools into a central dashboard
  • Write custom code and Mongo and SQL queries to extract information from our databases and update dashboard metrics
  • Explain our growth pipeline and strategy, suggest improvements

Day 60+: 

  • Lead growth automation projects, coordinating across sales and marketing to understand requirements, goals, and OKRs
  • Expand and maintain the growth dashboard to track these OKRs and visualize our pipeline
  • Manage our marketing sites and content, assisting the marketing team in maintaining and improving analytics and SEO
  • Work with go-to-market team to devise and run new campaigns and experiments in order to expand our reach
