We are seeking a Senior Accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to gain exposure to all facets of accounting on a global scale. In this role, you'll own parent entity accounting, providing insights into operations across our global entities. You'll handle general ledger reconciliations, cash forecasting, and month-end close activities. Additionally, you'll contribute to strategic initiatives like system implementations, preparing for our public company transition, and streamlining global processes.
What You'll Do as Senior Accountant:
- Support the Accounts Payable (AP) Process: Assist with general ledger coding, escalated questions, and managing vendor relationships. Implement best practices to streamline AP operations and enhance efficiency.
- Participate Global Month-End Close Activities: Oversee and participate in month-end close processes across all global entities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage General Ledger (GL) Reconciliations: Consolidate financial data from global entities and provide insights into worldwide accounting operations, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.
- Oversee Cash Flow Accounting and Forecasting: Analyze bank activities, update financial assumptions, and report on cash flow targets weekly to support strategic financial decisions.
- Assist with External Audits and Compliance: Collaborate with external auditors during interim and year-end audits. Stay current with US GAAP pronouncements and implement new accounting guidance as needed.
- Prepare for Transition to a Public Company: Actively participate in initiatives to enhance financial reporting processes and implement compliance measures for our public company transition.
What You'll Bring as The Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2+ years of general accounting experience, preferably within the SaaS/tech industry or with SaaS/tech clients.
- CPA certification or active pursuit is preferred.
- Experience with Big 4 accounting firms or similar environments is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of operational accounting processes, including AP, AR, GL reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition, stock compensation, and lease accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interpret and communicate data clearly across all organizational levels, including non-financial stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment; embraces change, adapts quickly, and collaborates effectively in a global team setting.
