We are looking to hire a co-op/intern to the Data Science Research team to primarily perform machine learning experiments on proprietary datasets. Auxiliary functions of the role include exploring possibilities for new features, optimizing current pipelines, and analyzing the wide variety of data that powers the Intelligence Cloud. You will analyze various modalities of data (structured and text), generate research deliverables, and write Python code to support these efforts.
This is a full time opportunity approximately 40 hours per week from January 2025 through May/June 2025.
What you will do as a Data Science Research Analyst Intern:
Work on machine learning projects which will create client-facing data assets and enhance the Recorded Future Intelligence Cloud
Conduct investigations into new sources of data and feature development, and clearly communicate outcomes
Generate resilient Python code to deliver data artifacts within larger systems
Interface with product management about your projects
Directly collaborate with engineers to productionize prototype code and ensure underlying logic is applied at scale
What you will bring as a Data Science Research Analyst Intern:
Pursuing an advanced degree in a technical discipline (i.e. statistics, mathematics, computer science) with a keen interest in creating data-centric solutions
Experience applying machine learning models to real-life problems
Given an ambiguous data problem to solve, you can propose and execute a solution
Experience building lightweight applications/performing data analysis with Python
Experience with presenting quantitative analyses
Strong written communication skills
Experience using version control systems such as Git
Experience using command line functionality a plus
Experience using Elastic/MongoDB a plus
